What is World Environment Day?
Celebrated annually on 5 June, World Environment Day shines a spotlight on critical environmental issues affecting our planet. Each year, a new theme is chosen to focus global attention on topics such as deforestation, climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.
The theme for 2025 is “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution”, inspiring individuals, communities, and businesses around the world to adopt more sustainable and responsible practices.
